China’s 2-GW Tianwan tidal-flat solar project completed 1.54 GW of module installation; full grid connection remains scheduled for 2026 year-end.

· ComputeLabs Research · from the October 25, 2026 edition

The China National Nuclear Corporation Tianwan tidal-flat photovoltaic demonstration project in Lianyungang, Jiangsu, has completed 1.54 GW of module installation. The source reports approximately 77% overall progress for the 2-GW project.

Within photovoltaic construction section seven, undertaken by China 22MCC, the seventh batch of subarrays completed construction. Six subarrays served by three collector circuits were successfully connected to the grid, a narrower milestone than full-project grid connection.

Full-capacity grid connection remains planned for the end of 2026. The report projects average annual electricity supplied to the grid of approximately 2.234 billion kilowatt-hours and annual carbon-dioxide emissions reductions of 1.77 million tonnes after completion; these are projected outcomes, not recorded operating results.
