Green Chile, the gas pipeline supporting Oracle’s Project Jupiter data center in New Mexico, delayed planned operation to February 2027.
· ComputeLabs Research · from the October 13, 2026 edition
The Green Chile natural-gas pipeline is intended to support Oracle’s Project Jupiter data center in New Mexico. Reporting states that its planned in-service date has moved to February 2027, from a previously planned August 15 date.
The pipeline is planned to transport approximately 400 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. That gas would fuel Bloom Energy fuel cells supporting Project Jupiter; this is a gas-delivery volume, not an electrical-capacity or compute-performance figure.
Oracle’s senior vice president for government affairs, Josh Pitcock, again requested expedited approval in a letter to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The pipeline is associated with an Energy Transfer LP subsidiary, rather than being identified as an Oracle-operated pipeline.
Pitcock warned that further approval delays would threaten Project Jupiter’s operating schedule and associated employment, economic activity, and community benefits. That is Oracle’s warning: the source does not establish a revised data-center opening date or completed regulatory approval.
