· ComputeLabs Research · from the October 13, 2026 edition
NVIDIA announced new funding for four French companies spanning healthcare technology, robotics, business software, and AI-assisted chemistry and materials research. Genesis AI is the robotics company in this announcement, while Entalpic applies AI to chemical and materials research.
Separate reporting attributed to Les Echos says NVIDIA acquired stakes in Genesis AI, Pigment, and Entalpic. The supplied material does not disclose company-specific investment amounts, valuations, ownership percentages, financing conditions, or closing documentation for all four investments.
Speaking in Paris, CEO Jensen Huang said NVIDIA had invested $8 billion across Europe over the preceding year and planned to announce another $2 billion of European AI investments the following week. The planned $2 billion announcement is distinct from both the historical investment figure and the four-company funding announcement; no allocation between them is supplied.
NVIDIA’s own blog places the announcements in the context of compute commitments associated with the February 2025 AI Action Summit and the 2025 and 2026 Choose France Summits. NVIDIA also reported that Huang and President Emmanuel Macron discussed AI safety and the company’s recently launched open agent safety platform.
