Apple (苹果) announced that its second China clean-energy fund had completed initial investments supporting a 260-MW wind project in Guangxi (广西) and a 50-MW wind project in Shandong (山东). Both projects were reported to be under construction, not commissioned.
The fund’s total investment commitments reached $212 million, reported as approximately RMB 1.4 billion, following Apple’s $100 million initial anchor investment in 2025. Total commitments should not be treated as the amount already deployed into the two projects; individual project investments are not disclosed.
Additional committed investors include Apple suppliers Amperex Technology Limited (新能源科技), Avary Holding (鹏鼎控股), and Diodes Incorporated (达尔科技). The source provides no project ownership percentages, financing conditions, completion dates, or electricity-purchase terms.
Apple also said that more than 95% of its direct manufacturing in China now uses renewable energy. Its stated objective of reaching 100% renewable-energy use across its global supply chain by the end of 2030 remains a company target, separate from the current manufacturing figure and the two projects’ construction status.
