Reports citing Korean media say ASML (阿斯麦) will increase prices for equipment replacement parts supplied in South Korea by 10%, effective January 2027. The reported scope includes parts for both extreme-ultraviolet (EUV) and deep-ultraviolet (DUV) lithography systems.

The coverage extends to regularly purchased consumables and core components replaced because of failures or deteriorating performance. Specifically named categories include optical systems, light sources, and precision drive mechanisms.

According to reporting attributed to The Elec, ASML headquarters communicated the proposed increase through its Korean subsidiary to Samsung Electronics (三星电子) and SK hynix (SK 海力士) in early September. The increase was reportedly finalized after discussions with their procurement departments; the supplied material does not state a corresponding increase in new lithography-system prices or quantify customers’ aggregate additional costs.
