ByteDance’s Seedance 2.5 added native 1080p video generation, and the associated application programming interface became available through Volcano Engine. The model had previously supported 480p and 720p generation.

Volcano Engine described Seedance 2.5 as oriented toward realistic visual quality, long-form cinematic narrative, and long-shot capabilities. Those descriptions are the platform’s product positioning rather than independently reported benchmark results.

During a first-month promotion, 1080p image-to-video API pricing was reduced from RMB 3.7 per second to approximately RMB 2.7 per second. The promotional price runs through Sept. 17.
