AWS added OpenAI Daybreak to Bedrock and introduced EC2 application status checks.

Amazon Web Services included OpenAI Daybreak on Amazon Bedrock in its Aug. 17 weekly product roundup. Amazon Bedrock is the AWS service through which the model was added; the supplied source does not provide Daybreak pricing, context limits, benchmark results, or regional availability.

AWS also introduced application status checks for Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud, or EC2. These are application-level status checks and are distinct from descriptions of GPU hardware, physical servers, racks, or data-center capacity.

The roundup additionally referenced an Identity and Access Management role manager. It also noted AWS participation in Open Source Summit Korea 2026 and MCP DevSummit Seoul 2026, where contributors met members of the OpenSearch and Valkey communities.
