The agreement was signed during the ninth China International Import Expo. According to Sina Technology reporting relayed by Financial_Express, Aptiv and robotics company Tashi Zhihang deepened their strategic cooperation in embodied AI. The first industrial embodied-AI robots were already operating on actual production lines in Aptiv’s smart factories.
The larger deployment remains a year-end commitment under the reported agreement. Aptiv is to complete deployment on the scale of approximately 100 A-series robots by the end of 2026. The program covers eight production processes and 33 application scenarios, including flexible assembly, inspection collaboration, and production management.
The collaboration also encompasses computing infrastructure and model development. The report says the computing platform supporting industrial embodied AI is scheduled for mass production during 2026, rather than reporting that mass production has already occurred. Using Tashi’s AWE—AI World Engine—general-purpose embodied model, the companies also plan continued industrial-data collection and application validation to support model iteration under real operating conditions.
