Backblaze’s B2 Neo enables neocloud platforms to offer native, branded object storage alongside their GPU and compute services.
· ComputeLabs Research · from the November 2, 2026 edition
Backblaze describes B2 Neo as its white-label offering for neocloud platforms, built on the B2 Cloud Storage foundation. It enables those platforms to present native, branded object storage alongside GPU and compute services, rather than supplying the GPUs themselves.
The filing differentiates B2 Neo from two other B2-based offerings: B2 Overdrive and Powered by Backblaze. B2 Overdrive is described as supporting up to one terabit per second of throughput, unlimited free egress, and private networking, while Powered by Backblaze embeds storage through the Backblaze Partner API and custom domains; those specifications are not separately stated as B2 Neo guarantees.
Backblaze introduced B2 Neo and its founder-focused Flamethrower startup program in 2026 as complementary initiatives targeting the AI ecosystem. Its underlying B2 Cloud Storage supports pay-as-you-go, capacity-based, and committed-contract purchasing, and its pay-as-you-go storage rate increased from US$6.00 to US$6.95 per terabyte per month on May 1, 2026, alongside elimination of API transaction fees.
