Google launched Gemini 4 Argon with introductory API pricing of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens.
· ComputeLabs Research · from the October 13, 2026 edition
Google made Gemini 4 Argon available on Google Cloud and through the Gemini application programming interface (API) for developers and enterprises. Supplied launch reporting also identifies access for Google AI subscribers through Google Antigravity, the Gemini app, and AI Mode in Google Search.
Reported introductory API pricing is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, with a 95% discount on cached input tokens. These are token-based introductory charges, not subscription prices or a disclosed permanent pricing schedule.
Google positions Argon for long, multi-step work in software development, finance, law, cybersecurity, and science. Its blog describes processing documents containing text, tables, charts, and images, and supporting tasks such as ledger reconciliation, spreadsheet formulas, variance analysis, and legal research.
Google says Argon leads the Vals Index, which covers finance, coding, legal, and tax work; the excerpt provides no numerical score. The company also says it trained Argon to respect system boundaries, report negative findings, and seek confirmation before irreversible actions—claims about model training and intended behavior, not guarantees of error-free operation.
