Iran’s Supreme National Security Council secretary threatened regional data centers, AI facilities, and cables if fighting resumes.

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council secretary, identified in the messages as Rezaei (雷扎伊), threatened to destroy regional cables, data centers, AI facilities, and other sites if war resumes. A report citing Tasnim News Agency also attributed to him a statement that Iran was prepared to demonstrate new capabilities.

He specifically referred to valuable U.S. assets in the United Arab Emirates and around the Strait of Hormuz, saying they had not yet been included among Iran’s targets. Another version of the remarks explicitly mentioned submarine fiber-optic cables, alongside data centers and AI infrastructure.

The secretary claimed that regional cables, data centers, and AI facilities had a combined value exceeding $2 trillion. This is an attributed claim without a supporting asset inventory or valuation methodology in the supplied material; the statements describe a conditional threat, not confirmed destruction of those facilities.
