Electronics manufacturer DBG Technology (光弘科技) reports over 150 surface-mount technology lines and manufacturing capability for server boards incorporating near-packaged optics.

· ComputeLabs Research · from the October 11, 2026 edition

DBG Technology (光弘科技) stated on an investor-interaction platform on October 11 that it operates more than 150 surface-mount technology (SMT) production lines. It described itself as an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider with more than 30 years of SMT experience.

The company said SMT is an indispensable manufacturing process for installing optical engines in near-packaged optics (NPO) technology. It asserted that it has the manufacturing capability for both compute-server boards and switch boards involving NPO.

This disclosure concerns board-manufacturing capability, not production of optical engines or AI processors themselves. The messages provide no NPO-specific orders, shipment volumes, customer names, or revenue, and do not say that all 150-plus SMT lines are dedicated to NPO products.
