The supplied October 12 reports state that construction recently finished on the B25 and B27 expansion of China Mobile’s (中国移动) Hohhot data center (呼和浩特数据中心). Built by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau (中建三局) in Horinger New Area (和林格尔新区), the project has a reported contract value of RMB2.7 billion, approximately 44,500 square meters of building area, and 120 MW of total information-technology (IT) power.
The reports place the project within the East Data, West Computing initiative (东数西算) and China Mobile’s “4+n+31+x” computing network. They also describe it as a landmark project within a national hub of the integrated computing network.
The reported post-commissioning figures are 20,100P of total computing capacity, including 16,700P of AI computing capacity. The messages do not define the numerical precision or measurement basis of “P,” so these figures cannot be reliably translated into accelerator counts or compared with precision-specific performance benchmarks.
The reports also specify a 400G optical transport network (OTN) backbone, 3.5 milliseconds of one-way Hohhot–Beijing transmission latency, 90% of computing capacity serving Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei (京津冀), and an 88% green-electricity share. Construction completion is the reported milestone; the computing-capacity figures are framed as applying after the project enters operation, not as independently measured live capacity.
