RTX 5080 graphics-card prices in Shenzhen’s Huaqiangbei market fell from nearly RMB 20,000 to RMB 16,000, a 20% correction.

A CCTV Finance report described a reversal in Huaqiangbei graphics-card prices after 11 consecutive trading days of increases in the RTX 50 series. Prices began declining on October 28, with the RTX 5080 falling from a peak near RMB 20,000 to RMB 16,000, described as a 20% correction.

The report attributed the preceding rally to rumors of overseas production discontinuation, not a confirmed production announcement. A merchant said advance stockpiling by distributors and retailers had contributed to substantial volatility, including price changes between morning and afternoon.

Despite the correction, the report said average prices across mainstream RTX 50-series graphics cards remained 1.7 times suggested retail prices. These are graphics-card market prices, not data-center GPU rental rates or AI-server prices.

Reporters also observed more overseas buyers requesting quotations for graphics cards and memory. One merchant said foreign customers accounted for more than 50% of that merchant’s October sales, a business-specific observation rather than a market-wide share.
