China Three Gorges Renewables connected the first 180 MW of generating capacity at its 545-MW Mile West wind-farm expansion.

· ComputeLabs Research · from the November 7, 2026 edition

China Three Gorges Renewables reported that the first 180 MW of wind-turbine capacity at the Mile West expansion in Yunnan connected to the grid on November 6. The expansion project’s total stated capacity is 545 MW.

The milestone is a first-batch grid connection, not confirmation that all 545 MW is operational. Both figures refer to wind-generating capacity, not electricity delivered over a period or data-center power capacity.

The company described Mile West as Three Gorges Group’s first wind project connected to the grid in Yunnan during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. It was also the only wind project included in Yunnan’s 2026 highest-priority project list; the source does not identify a dedicated AI or data-center customer.
