Acceptance of a receiving-end component marked the reported commissioning milestone. The grounding electrode for the Yuezhou converter station passed acceptance in Lin’an, Zhejiang. The report identifies it as the first core unit of the project’s direct-current system to complete acceptance.
The project connects Gansu with Zhejiang over 2,370 kilometers. Its route starts in Wuwei, Gansu, and ends in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, crossing six provincial-level regions. The source describes it as a nationally important ultra-high-voltage transmission project.
Commissioning is not the same as completed commercial operation. The report states that construction completion and entry into operation are expected in 2027. It does not provide a rated transmission-power figure, project cost, or confirmed date for full energization.
