· ComputeLabs Research · from the October 5, 2026 edition

Financial_Express reports that Applied Intuition announced an expansion of its relationship with Nissan, which began in 2020. The announced scope includes deployment of AI-powered software-development tools and provision of Applied Intuition’s vehicle operating-system software.

The tools are intended to support Nissan’s next-generation software-defined vehicles (SDVs; 软件定义汽车) and AI-defined vehicles (AIDVs; AI 定义汽车). Applied Intuition says its operating-system software will support a scalable, open next-generation vehicle-software platform.

Applied Intuition’s software teams in Japan and Silicon Valley are to work with Nissan’s engineering teams in Japan. Shorter development cycles and faster AI-native vehicle development are stated objectives; the message does not provide a deployment completion date, contract value, vehicle volumes, or measured engineering productivity gains.
