The regional compute platform in Hubei (湖北) connected 18 providers and became China’s fourth regional platform connected to the national network.

The Hubei (湖北) compute-industry ecosystem conference took place in Wuhan (武汉) on September 20, presenting the province’s progress as a national compute-interconnection regional node. The Hubei Big Data Group (湖北大数据集团) token trading center also went online at the event.

The Hubei compute-interconnection platform was described as central China’s first and China’s fourth regional compute platform connected to the national platform. It had connected 18 compute-resource providers, linking upward to the national compute-internet service platform and downward to compute-center resources within and outside the province.

The platform could monitor more than 7,000P of computing resources and coordinate more than 1,000P outside the province. The source does not define “P,” numerical precision, or the performance measurement basis, so these figures should not be translated into GPU counts or treated as directly comparable standardized compute capacities.

The platform had reached strategic cooperation arrangements with Hunan (湖南), Jiangxi (江西), Sichuan (四川), Jiangsu (江苏), and Henan (河南). It also established regular coordination with resources in Ningxia (宁夏), the Chengdu–Chongqing region (成渝), the Greater Bay Area (大湾区), and the Yangtze River Delta (长三角), while promoting resource sharing, load balancing, and flexible scheduling among central provinces.
