Montage Technology secured PCI-SIG certification for its PCIe 6.x and CXL 3.x retimer, joining the organization’s supplier list.

Montage Technology (澜起科技) announced that its PCI Express (PCIe) 6.x and Compute Express Link (CXL) 3.x retimer had passed a series of certifications from the PCI Special Interest Group (PCI-SIG). The product was consequently added to PCI-SIG’s official supplier list.

The certification applies to a retimer chip, an interconnect component, rather than to a GPU, accelerator, server or complete rack. The disclosed compatibility scope was PCIe 6.x and CXL 3.x.

Montage said inclusion on the supplier list would substantially simplify procurement for large original-equipment manufacturers and hyperscale data-center operators. The source did not disclose customer orders, shipment volumes, pricing or revenue associated with the certification.
