Hungary’s sole nuclear plant targets full output Wednesday after drought-related restrictions shut three reactors; two restarted over the weekend.

Hungary was gradually restoring generation at the Paks nuclear power plant, the country’s only nuclear station. The plant targeted a return to full output by Wednesday.

Drought conditions had forced three reactors to shut during the preceding month. Two of those reactors restarted over the weekend.

At its lowest point, the station’s output had fallen to approximately one-tenth of total capacity. Following the two restarts, output recovered to more than half of total capacity, according to the report.
