Apple integrated Alibaba Qwen (阿里千问) with Apple Intelligence for Chinese users across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS.

Apple’s website showed on Aug. 8 that Apple Intelligence could work with Alibaba Qwen (阿里千问). Qwen is being integrated as an AI capability for Apple users in China across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS.

The integration supports text and image understanding as well as content generation directly on Apple devices. The source says users can access these capabilities without switching between applications.

On the same day, China’s cyberspace regulator released filing information for seven mobile-device generative-AI services. The listed services included Apple Intelligence, Huawei’s Xiaoyi large model (华为小艺大模型), and OPPO AndesGPT.
