· ComputeLabs Research · from the November 5, 2026 edition
Amazon’s reported plan locates the proposed campus near Glen Rose, Texas, on land owned by Vistra, next to the Comanche Peak nuclear power plant. The messages identify the intended location and landowner but do not disclose a completed land purchase or lease.
Amazon said the project would create at least 550 full-time jobs, with wages significantly above the county average. Those are company statements about expected employment, not current staffing levels.
The sources provide no campus capacity, investment amount, construction timetable, or operational start date. Proximity to the nuclear plant is explicitly reported, but a direct power-supply agreement, dedicated nuclear allocation, or behind-the-meter arrangement is not.
