Beijing Space Computing Innovation Center launched a cloud platform pooling computing resources across more than 40 satellites.

· ComputeLabs Research · from the October 31, 2026 edition

Beijing Space Computing Innovation Center released the platform on October 30, according to the October 31 Telegram report. The message says its core functions have been completed and that it covers computing resources across more than 40 satellites.

The platform provides unified management and pooled scheduling across satellite resources and ground-based central processing units (CPUs), GPUs, and neural processing units (NPUs). It supports coordinated space-and-ground scheduling for large-model inference workloads.

The source describes the platform as the world’s first integrated space-and-ground computing cloud, but provides no comparative evidence supporting that distinction. It also supplies no aggregate processing throughput, satellite processor inventory, latency, pricing, or commercial utilization figures; the satellite count is not a measure of compute capacity.
