Google Cloud launched GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol, and GPT-6 Luna in Model Garden, running on dedicated Google Cloud infrastructure.

Google Cloud announced three OpenAI models in Model Garden: GPT-6 Astra for demanding coding, computer use, professional work, and scientific research; GPT-6.1 Sol, described as offering near-Astra intelligence at lower cost; and GPT-6 Luna for fast, cost-efficient everyday workloads. These workload and relative-cost descriptions are Google’s product positioning, not independently supplied benchmark results.

The models run on dedicated Google Cloud infrastructure, with queries routed through hardened, isolated gateways. Google says prompts, context, and outputs remain within the designated customer data perimeter and are not used to train foundation models; Zero Data Retention options and Confidential Compute were described as coming soon, rather than available launch features.

Transactions take place through Google Cloud Marketplace, with usage appearing on one Google Cloud invoice, drawing down existing cloud commitments, and counting toward Flexible Savings Plans across model providers. The platform also provides authenticated identities, unified audit logging, and Virtual Private Cloud Service Controls protection for model and agent interactions.

Google says Model Garden contains more than 200 first-party, third-party, and open models, and describes itself as the only hyperscale cloud offering access to all three leading closed-source large language models on one enterprise platform. Separately, OpenAI said it would bring frontier models and Codex agent workflows to Model Garden while confirming that Microsoft remains its primary cloud partner.
