Horizon Robotics announced that cumulative mass production of its Journey intelligent-driving chips (征程®智驾芯片) had exceeded 15 million units. The milestone concerns automotive chips produced at scale, rather than the number of vehicles or individual customers.
The company said Journey chips had served eight million vehicle owners and that Horizon Robotics had established cooperation with more than 40 automotive brands. Founder and chief executive Yu Kai discussed the figures during the 2026 Yabuli Forum Summer Summit in Chengdu.
Yu said Horizon Robotics aims to overtake Nvidia and rank first by market share in China’s autonomous-driving chip market next year. That statement is a management objective and is distinct from the reported operating milestone of 15 million mass-produced chips.
Discussing the production figure, Yu said he celebrated for only two seconds before moving on and referred to a future 20-million-unit milestone. The source did not provide shipment revenue, average selling prices, vehicle-model counts, foundry details, or the methodology behind the market-share statement.
