HGTECH subsidiary Huagong Zhengyuan (华工正源) plans to conduct a live demonstration of its 100-gigabit SFP112 optical module at the 2026 China International Optoelectronic Exposition. SFP refers to the small form-factor pluggable optical-module format.
The module is aimed at 5G-Advanced and 6G wireless fronthaul, as well as high-bandwidth Ethernet data-interconnect applications. The company described it as the world’s smallest-packaged 100-gigabit optical-module solution.
The SFP112 package is compatible with the SFP+ Multi-Source Agreement standard. Compared with a conventional QSFP28 solution, the company said it permits more 100-gigabit ports within the same panel area.
Huagong Zhengyuan also said the design offers lower power consumption and cost while increasing port density and aggregate bandwidth. The source did not provide module power in watts, transmission reach, optical wavelength, thermal limits, pricing, customer commitments, or production-volume data.
