Hithium’s Heze Industrial Park began mass production after completing its first 1,175 ampere-hour (Ah) long-duration storage cell.

Hithium’s integrated long-duration energy-storage industrial park in Heze, Shandong, entered mass production on Aug. 7. The milestone was marked by the completion of the facility’s first 1,175 ampere-hour long-duration storage cell.

The source describes the 1,175 Ah product as the world’s first long-duration storage cell in the thousand-ampere-hour class. Ampere-hours measure electrical charge capacity and are not the same as energy capacity in watt-hours, which would also require a voltage figure.

The project is located in the Luxi New Area of Heze. The source calls it the first integrated long-duration energy-storage industrial park globally and says it fills a gap in Shandong’s manufacturing of core long-duration storage equipment.
