French President Emmanuel Macron announced a release of up to 100 million barrels of crude and diesel stocks over four months, according to financialjuice. The figure covers the combined release, not separate 100-million-barrel allocations for each fuel.

Financial_Express’s account of the Group of Seven (G7) leaders’ statement says the release would begin immediately under International Energy Agency (IEA) coordination. Members and partners would front-load substantial diesel releases during the first 20 days (在前 20 天内提前大量释放柴油).

The reported agreement also includes coordinating refinery maintenance, moderately raising capacity utilization, and encouraging major refining countries to increase production, particularly diesel. Leaders reaffirmed their commitment not to restrict energy exports within the G7 and called on producers to avoid bans.

The IEA was asked to report within 20 days on implementation and policy recommendations, including replenishment arrangements. IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol separately said distribution would be finalized after consultation with member states, distinguishing the announced release from a fully specified allocation schedule.
