Microsoft (微软) announced MAI-Transcribe-2-Streaming on October 1, according to the supplied Telegram reports. Its introductory price is US$0.54 per audio hour through year-end 2026; the year-end qualification applies to promotional pricing, not a stated service shutdown.
Microsoft simultaneously introduced MAI-Voice-2.1 and MAI-Voice-2.1-Flash. Their reported prices are US$22 per million characters and US$15 per million characters, respectively, which are different billing units from the transcription model’s audio-hour rate.
A separate daily roundup says MAI-Voice-2.1 covers 23 languages and describes the real-time transcription model as topping an accuracy evaluation. Because that roundup provides no benchmark name, score, or methodology, it does not support a quantified accuracy comparison.
