Lead Intelligent Equipment shipped China’s first gigawatt-scale automated proton-exchange-membrane electrolyzer line using wet-membrane assembly.

Lead Intelligent Equipment’s wholly owned subsidiary Hydrogen Intelligence (氢导智能) shipped a gigawatt-scale automated assembly line for proton-exchange-membrane, or PEM, electrolyzers. The line was built for a major domestic energy-equipment company whose name was not disclosed.

The equipment had reached the customer’s site and was entering commissioning at the time of the report. The source described it as China’s first automated PEM-electrolyzer production line using a wet-membrane assembly process.

The gigawatt figure refers to the production-line scale associated with electrolyzer manufacturing, not an operating power plant or an installed hydrogen-production project.
