Amazon Web Services made its Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud R9g and R9gd instance families generally available. Both are powered by AWS Graviton5 central processing units.

AWS says the new instances deliver up to 25% better compute performance than the preceding R8g generation. This is a vendor-provided “up to” performance comparison rather than an independently reported benchmark result.
