Xinjiang’s 750-kilovolt ultra-high-voltage transmission network exceeded 15,000 kilometers of lines as of August 26. State Grid described it as China’s largest ultra-high-voltage electricity backbone network by scale.
The measurement refers to transmission-line length, not generation capacity, electricity consumption or data-center load. A 750-kilovolt system is part of the high-voltage transmission backbone used to move bulk electricity over long distances.
The source did not provide the number of substations, power-transfer capacity or the share of electricity serving AI infrastructure. It also did not identify individual generation projects connected to the network.
