Anthropic announced 10,000 Claude subscription places for scientists worldwide. The subscriptions are available for one year on a free or discounted basis, rather than all being described as fully paid subscriptions.
The program is directed at global scientific researchers. The supplied sources do not state how the 10,000 places will be allocated by country, institution or scientific discipline.
Anthropic also said it had worked with the U.S. government to provide the life-sciences sector with access to Mythos-class models. The announcement concerns model access and does not disclose government contract value, compute allocation or participating life-science organizations.
