Siemens announced investments totaling more than $200 million in two new U.S. manufacturing facilities. The facilities are located in Pendleton, Georgia, and Grand Prairie, Texas, and the company said the projects would create more than 1,500 jobs.

The Georgia facility carries a stated investment of $185 million and is intended to serve as a U.S. manufacturing center for low-voltage electrical products and power-distribution equipment. The Texas manufacturing site represents a further $19 million investment.
