Qualcomm began shipping custom silicon to two hyperscale customers; its fiscal-first-quarter 2027 guidance incorporates those shipments.

· ComputeLabs Research · from the November 4, 2026 edition

Qualcomm’s chief financial officer explicitly linked guidance to shipments already starting. The fiscal-first-quarter 2027 outlook incorporates custom-chip deliveries to two hyperscale cloud customers. The supplied statement does not name those two customers or disclose shipment volumes.

Other product updates cover distinct hardware categories. Management said the Dragonfly C1000 central processing unit, or CPU, remained on schedule for shipment to Meta, while its connectivity solution with Amazon Web Services was expected to ramp later in November. A separate update referenced October as the start of custom-accelerator shipments; these statements do not establish that Meta and Amazon are the two customers in the CFO’s disclosure.

Data-center revenue figures remain management forecasts. Qualcomm projected more than $650 million of first-quarter data-center revenue, sequential growth through the fiscal year, and a $7 billion annualized revenue run rate by fiscal-year-end 2027. Another report gives a $5 billion fiscal-2027 data-center revenue target and quotes management describing supply, rather than demand, as the constraint; annual revenue and an exit run rate are different measures.

The broader financial outlook includes both expansion and margin pressure. Qualcomm reported fourth-quarter adjusted revenue of $10.44 billion, adjusted earnings per share of $2.17, and full-year capital expenditure of $2.49 billion; first-quarter guidance was $10.4–11.2 billion of revenue and $2.15–2.35 of adjusted earnings per share. Management also forecast more than 60% fiscal-2027 growth in non-handset revenue within Qualcomm CDMA Technologies, its QCT segment, while expecting handset revenue to decline by roughly a mid-single-digit percentage sequentially in the first quarter.
