Google Cloud made Anthropic-managed Claude deployments generally available, offering day-zero model and platform-feature access through existing Google Cloud billing.

Google Cloud’s new Anthropic-managed deployment option is generally available alongside its existing Google-managed option. Both offer day-zero access to Claude models, the same pricing, Google Cloud billing, and drawdown of eligible Google Cloud commitments.

The principal distinction is operational and contractual: Anthropic acts as data processor under its commercial terms for the new option. Customers retain Google Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) authentication and Cloud Audit Logging, while receiving immediate access to platform features such as Claude Managed Agents in beta, skills, and code execution.

Under the Google-managed option, Google Cloud remains the data processor under existing customer agreements. That option provides Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) Service Controls, Customer-Managed Encryption Keys (CMEK), data residency in the United States, European Union, and Asia-Pacific, plus native integrations including BigQuery and Model Armor.

Google lists Claude Fable 5.1, Sonnet 5.5, Haiku 5.5, and Opus 5.5 among the models available. New Claude platform features arrive immediately through the Anthropic-managed option but become available through the Google-managed option as they are integrated into its infrastructure.
