China reported 2.45 million FP16 PFLOPS of intelligent-computing capacity, with 1.45 million PFLOPS monitored nationally.

A National Data Administration official said China’s aggregate intelligent-computing capacity reached 2.45 million petaflops as of the end of July 2026. The measurement was explicitly stated at FP16, meaning 16-bit floating-point precision.

Of that total, 1.45 million petaflops had been incorporated into a national monitoring and scheduling platform. The monitored figure is therefore a subset of reported national capacity, not additional capacity.

The National Data Administration said it would continue optimizing compute deployment, increasing supply, strengthening monitoring and scheduling, and deepening coordination between computing and electricity. The agency also identified improved utilization efficiency and industry-ecosystem development as priorities.
