Google Cloud added AI-powered Quick Assessments to Migration Center, providing near-instant total-cost-of-ownership modeling and automated service mapping.

Google Cloud introduced AI-powered Quick Assessments in Migration Center to automate infrastructure discovery, service mapping, and total cost of ownership, or TCO, analysis. Google said organizations can generate migration financial models in minutes rather than through manual processes that can take substantially longer.

Customers can ingest raw infrastructure data, aggregated inputs, cloud-billing reports, or VMware inventory exports such as RVTools. Migration Center then produces a target bill of materials, service-mapping coverage, projected savings, and Compute Engine cost estimates.

The service supports latest-generation Gen4 compute instances and high-performance Hyperdisk storage pools in its architecture modeling. Users can also modify on-premises baseline-cost assumptions to align the model with their accounting standards.

A context-aware agentic assistant explains financial assumptions, recommends technical cost optimizations based on constraints such as location or compliance, and exports executive reports. Google also said the system provides visibility into projected return on investment, or ROI, alongside TCO.
