Google Cloud extended Compute Flexible Committed Use Discounts to G2 NVIDIA L4 and G4 RTX Pro 6000 virtual machines.
· ComputeLabs Research · from the August 14, 2026 edition
Google Cloud made Compute Flexible Committed Use Discounts available for G2 virtual machines using NVIDIA L4 GPUs and G4 virtual machines using NVIDIA RTX Pro 6000 GPUs. The program allows customers to receive committed-spend discounts on these GPU-backed virtual-machine families.
The flexible commitment can cover G2 and G4 GPU virtual machines alongside general-purpose compute, Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Run and other eligible services under one spend commitment. Google said customers can also adapt across virtual-machine families and migrate between regions.
This is a cloud-pricing and commitment-program expansion, not an announcement of new physical GPU inventory or data-center megawatts. The supplied announcement does not specify a discount percentage or minimum commitment value.
